Electric Penguins score a Channel4 score for Bobcom

February 10, 2011

Channel4 / Bobcom “Sounds From The Cities” featuring music by Electric Penguins.

Dublin based electro folk duo Electric Penguins have scored a UK theme tune on Channel4. The band who released their album “II” late last year have composed, arranged and recorded the theme tune and additional music for “Sounds From The Cities”, a series of four music programmes hosted by “Gavin and Stacey” star Mat Horne and featuring live performances by Imelda May, Gruff Rhys, KT Tunstall, The Joy Formidable and others.

The series is brought to Channel 4 by BOBCOM.com, a pioneering new independent music website which gives unsigned artists the chance to sell their music direct online and win support slots on “Sounds From The Cities” and the chance to record in Abbey Road.

Electric Penguins release their new single “19 Winters” on Friday 25th February.

“Sounds From The Cities” continues on Channel4, Wednesday 23rd February at midnight.
